Yolonde lives a life that is a rich tapestry of experiences. Passionate about empowering women, of all ages, places, cultures and communities, she is absolutely committed to making change and creating opportunities. Yolonde does this through her business Empowering Women Empowering Communities, public speaking, developing and implementing programs, humanitarian work and volunteering her time, experience and skills to help others be bold and brave.

Yolonde lives the life she loves - her work is her passion whether that is as CEO of Wheels of Wellness, a charity delivering GP-led mobile outreach clinics, building her businesses, working in her community, supporting women living in remote Aboriginal communities and developing countries or her farm where she has over 100 head of cattle.

In 2020, Yolonde was awarded Citizen of the Year from the Cairns Regional Council. In 2019, Yolonde was a finalist in the Cairns Businesswomen’s Awards. The same year, a documentary that she was an Executive Producer of, won several international and national awards and she opened the Women’s Yarning Place for vulnerable and disadvantaged women. In her spare time, Yolonde is also the Cairns Community Ambassador for YWAM Medical Ships which services Papua New Guinea.
