Jenna is a Canadian ceramicist, Craft administrator and Creative Placemaker. She received a BF in ceramics at Alberta College of Art + Design (now AUARTS) in 2003, and a Masters in Ceramic Design in 2012 from Staffordshire University in 'the potteries' of Stoke on Trent, England.
During her time in Stoke, she worked within the Ceramics industry on placements with Wedgwood, the British Ceramics Biennial, and worked with her professor and program graduates to develop an award-winning bone china tableware company Flux, which saw her patter Willow Blues exhibited internationally from the British Ceramics Biennial to Design Festivals in London, New York, and Toronto.
Jenna has worked in Craft admin throughout her career, from Craft retail and wholesale, research for artists live/workspaces, to Curator at Medalta international ceramic residency and industrial museum, to her current role as Executive Director at the Alberta Craft Council.
In the ceramics she creates and the arts admin that she undertakes both consider function, place, and enriching quality of life through creativity and community building.
