Jack Balfour is a potter based in North Melbourne in Naarm working on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation.

Jack makes wheel thrown porcelain tableware, lidded boxes, vases, bottles and one-off decorative vessels. He is increasingly aware of the waste he produces trying to make beautiful and pure things.

His interest in local materials and the waste generated from studio production has driven his development of a refired composite material.
