Avi Amesbury is a practicing ceramic artist working in her studio on Yuin Country ont he Far South Coast of New South Wales. Her work has been selected for national and international exhibitions and she has participated in exhibitions and festivals across Australia and overseas. Her artworks are held in public and private collections.

She is currently a member of the International Academy of Ceramics (IAC), ArtAxis; Craft ACT: Craft and Design Centre and the Australian Ceramics Association.

Her contribution to the field of ceramics has included CEO and Artistic Director Craft ACT: Craft and Design Centre (2010-2016); Founder and Artistic Director of Design Canberra Festival (2014-2015); Chair, Stepping Up: The 14th Australian Ceramics Triennale; Co-judge, 9th International Craft Competition, 2015 Cheongju International Craft Biennale: and on numerous boards and advisory committees.
