About
Ruth Ju-Shih Li
Collaborative Ephemeral Clay Sculpture
A hands-on, collaborative clay workshop that uses clay to connect and share stories. Attendees are invited to join the artists in her meditative process, learn to make organic floral forms and collaborate in building one ephemeral clay sculpture together. The ephemeral sculpture will then be left outdoors to slowly disintegrate over time.
This workshop is presented as part of Drawn by stones, a touring project initiated and presented by 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art. The exhibition and associated programming are presented in partnership with Watch This Space and the Australian Ceramics Triennale in Mparntwe/Alice Springs. The touring exhibition is supported by the NSW Government through Create NSW and the Australia Council for the Arts, with development support for this exhibition provided by the Ministry of Culture Taiwan and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Sydney, and The Gordon Darling Foundation.
