This workshop will cover a history of lustre, from 9th century beginning in Egypt to contemporary application.

The 4 different types of lustre: pigment, lustre glaze, fuming & resinate. Each technique will be covered with images of mixing, application, how to fire, & results. Both practical and technical you will go away with an understanding and knowledge how to create a lustred surface on your work.

Greg has been working with lustres since 1976, and has published a book “Lustre” 2012. His present work is using lustre glazes.
